torn tie-rod boot

I drive a 2001 VW Passat. The dealership informed me I have a torn tie-rod boot and it should be replaced soon. Can anyone tell me how much I should expect to pay for parts and labor?

Genuine VW parts around $40(fitting extra). Kragen Under $7
any local shop will supply and fit them easily in a morning Try Pepboys
Replace them soon as poss, as grit and stuff'll soon wear out the track rods
