Ah Letty, the Golden Ratio, the Golden Mean
Fibonacci knew not what, but was keen
To make us all wonder at spirals and such
Then think about it all way, way too much.

For April Fool's I tried to play
A numbers game with Dys that day
I said, "I'm pregnant." He laughed
Hah, hah, hah.
The numbers were agaisnt me, 'strewth
For really, I am too long in the tooth.

Of Ratios and Means and games and jokes
The numbers don't lie
And, "That's All Folks!"

Diane's tall bridge reflects the span,
Of golden gates and more.
It's good to have her back again,
With lots of West coast lore.

Isn't it fabulous that someone could explain beauty by plotting points on a graph?

Hey, gal. I am pregnant (with ideas) Very Happy

Tell Bob I loved the back of his head!

c. i the seeing eye
Wherever he goes, there he will spy,
Indefatigable traveller he
His ear to the ground and his eye on a spree.
I knew cicerone was a name for a guide
But googling I found it's an imprint beside
So Baedeker he'd be in Europe of old
Just pretending authority, he's modest AND bold.

I met c.i. in London, and can confirm he is all of these things, and more.
We shared a tube journey too, on the

Last train leaving from Hyde Park
Underground, and in the dark
Walked along from Marble Arch
Less a stroll, more forced march
Would we catch the last down train?
In the subway, Eek! Town drain
Men were there, with jets and brushes
Disregarding our onward rushes
Luckily, was not too deep
We'd appointment with Tube to keep
Never fear, we soon were there
Caught the train with bags to spare
All was well, and at the end
We had made a new firm friend:

Traveller from California
There's no place he's a foreigner
Feels like he was born here.

Hey, I just dropped in to say,
Sorry that I've been away.
C.I. and his walking world,
Gossamer wings of clary girl,
Handsome Frankie on the prowl,
Sharp of mind and low of growl.

Good morning,
From Florida

and there's that handsome Aussie guy,
With shades so cool and baby shy.

An uncle that will really be
A boon for her small majesty.

(uhoh, got hung up in the animal couplet thing Smile )

Oh, no! Clary, my dear.
Natal days, two in one year?

Twas Wilso's small niece
Who'll have the cake feast.

Did I make that perfectly clear?

Very Happy

Ah, 'twas Wilso's whisper that made me think
That you were pouring the birthday drink!
On the other hand, two in one year
Could be quite fun, Letty my dear!

Ah, Clary, British lexicon,
Just like R.L. Stevenson,
I think I'll give them all away,
And settle for a roll in the hay.

(I meant to do my work today)

Goodnight, soul mates.
From rather warmish Florida.

Festoons of blossom adorn our trees at last
Some early petal-falls bedeck the lawn
Warm breezes, welcome soft air after winter's harshness
Moisture-bearing, life-giving, long-awaited breath
Spring. Where have you been all my year?

The ending was kinda quirky.
I was slightly distracted by the BBC's "Young Musician of the Year" programme on TV. I will need to find a cold attic somewhere, with a single candle for light and heat.

No, I liked "Where have you been all my year.." different. Attic Greek perhaps?

New pic from me
At the edge of the sea
Harbour's inner quay

Small craft, sunlight on the water, a small fishing village in east Scotland. A happy time.

Delightful, McTag.

and to the man in the hat,
Supremely aligned with the quay,
What Scotland has lost to Great Britain,
The shore has lost to the sea.

(bet your heart is still in the highlands)
