No we don't, but I did have pizza.

We have Black Friday, and we only got that recently.

I'm thankful I'm in Canada. It's not the best country, perhaps, but it's clean, we have lots of water (in some places too much), and it's safe. Very safe. We don't run around with guns here unless you're a cop or a criminal. Very little crime. Lots of food. Warm homes. But I think this every day (not on Thanksgiving which I think is a stupid holiday) when I read about less fortunate people in the news. I'm so very grateful to be where I am and not in a migrant camp or jailed falsely.

We have them drowning in the channel. They showed the boats they're using, cheap rubber dinghys with a maximum capacity of 10. There was a picture on the BBC website if one with 20 people on board. You couldn't see the boat, it looked like all 20 were sat on the water.

No, they tend to be a mix of arab and afghan. They still haven't identified all the victims, and there's more every day.

But how did they get all the way there? What route? I'm confused. You don't normally get migrants/refugee seekers, do you?

Never mind - I just read they're migrating through France. Are you guys trying to start another war with them?

Yes we do, there's a series of camps in the channel ports in France of refugees trying to get to Britain.

It's been going on for a very long time, one of the factors in the Brexit vote.

It's all Black Friday including online stuff, has been for about five or six years.

I don't pay it much attention, a lot of the 'offers' are the same price things were in June.

The real discounts come after Christmas, in the January sales.
