@Real Music,
I didn't think that was a very good speech. I don't stay up at night worrying that my kids might have to learn Mandarin.

@Real Music,
All I get from this video is

1) Rich people are bad.
2) Chinese people are scary.

I don't see how this is a productive message. He is expressing outrage, but there isn't much substance here.

@maxdancona,
Not Chinese people. The Chinese government.

We are going to have a Cold War with China like we did with the Soviet Union.

Rep. Tim Ryan Responds To Attacks From Trump.

Congressman Tim Ryan is running for Senate in 2022, and Donald Trump is in attack mode -
lashing out at the congressman at an Ohio event this weekend. Rep. Ryan says, “I am laser-like
focused on workers, economic security, retirement security, their kids schools, fighting like hell
for them, and Donald Trump spent his time in Ohio talking about the past, talking about the big
lie.”

This is silly. The Democrats are in control of the government right now. All this jumping around and screaming like a toddler who missed nap time isn't governing.

How about the Democrats cut out the outrage and anger, take a deep breath, and govern for a change.

As the saying goes; "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail". When the progressives control the Democratic party, outrage and anger is all they seem to have.

The Democrats are in power right now, they are the governing party. Does anyone here understand how silly these outraged speeches are?

What a ******* surprise. Yawn.

We need more responsible leadership and less outraged extremism. Unfortunately this angry divisive rhetoric seems to play well with the outraged masses on both sides.

Tim Ryan launches Senate campaign in Ohio.

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) on Monday formally entered the race to succeed retiring Sen. Rob Portman
(R-Ohio) in Ohio, becoming the first Democrat to throw his name into the closely watched Senate
contest.

Ryan, who has represented Ohio’s Youngstown region in the House for 18 years, had been
expected for months to be nearing a Senate campaign announcement. He made good on that
expectation on Monday in a video unveiling his intentions.

1. In my opinion, Tim Ryan has the right formula for the democrats to keep both the House and the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections.

2. Have a clear plain spoken message that speaks to real people.

3. Do not overcomplicate your message.

@Real Music,
Tim Ryan is warning us about "teaching Mandarin in our schools". This is not a positive message (my daughter actually did take Mandarin in school, it didn't hurt her at all).

He is peddling outrage and fear. He isn't talking about governance or responsibility.

I don't like his message. We don't need more divisive politicians.

@maxdancona,
His comment about Mandarin was not actually in opposition to people voluntarily learning the language.

His point is that the Chinese government means to defeat and destroy the United States and we had better start taking that threat seriously.

Or would you prefer to wait until the shockwave from a Chinese thermonuclear warhead tears through your home before acknowledging the danger?

Tim Ryan's Senate campaign staff unionizes.

Published: September 28, 2021

Quote:
Rep. Tim Ryan's (D-Ohio) Senate campaign staff announced it was unionizing on Tuesday, making history as the first unionized Senate campaign in the Buckeye State's history.

Tim Ryan’s record of fighting for Ohio workers is what drew us to this race, and we’re proud to share that his dedication to workers includes voluntary recognition for our union,” Ryan's campaign staff said in a statement.

The staff union said it organized with IBEW Local 1466 and that Ohio AFL-CIO President Tim Burga certified the election.

Ryan, a vocal supporter of labor unions, said he "applauded" his staff's move.

“Every worker — whether you work in health care or manufacturing, practice a trade or staff a political campaign — deserves strong protections and a voice on the job, and one of the best ways to make that happen is by making it easier to join a union," Ryan said in a statement.

Ryan is seen as the front-runner in his race against progressive activist Morgan Harper in the state's Democratic Senate primary.

The congressman raked in more than $2 million for his Senate bid in the second quarter of 2021 and transferred another $1 million from his House campaign account.

On the Republican side of the aisle, multiple candidates are battling it out for the GOP Senate nomination as the party looks to defend outgoing Sen. Rob Portman's (R) seat. The nonpartisan Cook Political Report rates the race as "lean Republican."

Tim Ryan DESTROYS Anti-Union Republicans in EPIC Speech on House Floor about PRO Act.

Tim Ryan speech RANT today about the PRO Act today wrecked Republicans that pretend to care
about the working-class but oppose labor legislation that helps workers and unions. Like Bernie
Sanders, he exposed their hypocrisy.

Yes Tim Ryan BRUTALIZES the right wing. He PULVERIZES the corporate interests and SODOMIZES the lobbyists with his EPIC ...

I gotta admit, this is fun. But it is still silly.
