Can anyone identify who painted this?

My family has had this painting for a long time. My grandmother's sister bought it in the early 1980's, and we've always had it in our living room ever since. We tried to look up the artist via signature but didn't find anything. The painting is yellowed due to age and consistent cigarette smoke coating it, but otherwise it's in pristine condition. It's an oil on canvas painting. If anyone knows the name of this painting and has any information on who the artist is and what other paintings they might've done, I'd love to hear it!

Here's a closeup on the signature.

@PUNKEY,
Yeah, I looked at him, too, but the signature and painting styles and subject matter are different.
