I think Tom Brady is trying to say the quiet part out loud here. AB is clearly not well. Tom would know this better than any of us.
What’s heartbreaking is that Antonio is exhibiting every sign of CTE, which is about brain damage done to the frontal lobes. The signs are poor decision making, breaks with reality, impulsivity. For a few years now it’s been obvious.
I’ve spoken to families whose loved ones, retired NFL players, suffered through this.
The family of NFL wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who was 5 years younger than me, just announced he had severe CTE. I knew Vincent. He was a kind soul and CTE made him into a different person.
It was just found in the brain of NFL vet Phillip Adams, who killed 6 people, and himself.
99% of the brains of NFL players that have been studied have it. It’s literal holes in their brains. Mush.
It breaks my heart.
