@farmerman,
I don’t know if it’s his best acting, but the funniest film I’ve seen with Danny De Vito is Throw Momma From The Train.

It was definitely Billy Crystal’s best performance.

BY FAR the funniest film I've ever seen with Danny DeVito in it...is Get Shorty. That well may have been Gene Hackman's funniest movie...and Dennis Farina's funniest movie.

@Frank Apisa,
It’s a good film, but I’d forgotten he was in it, I just remember John Travolta.

One of the very few film where I actually laughed out loud. The scene where Gene Hackman has to drink his lunch through a straw was world-class. The entire ensemble of players was top notch.

@Frank Apisa,
Dennis Farina in Get Shorty shoulda been nominated for somthing. Every succeeding scene he was a bit more battered until he finally got caught at the airport locker. To me, Travolta's two best rols are in Gt SHorty and Pulp Fiction

Travolta was GREAT in both those movies...and both are among my favorite fun movies to watch. I gotta include Tom Cruise's Knight and Day, with Cameron Diaz as a fun movie to watch.

I prefer Travolta in his younger movies, such as Saturday Night Fever.

If we’re talking comic roles, Joe Pesci’s best was in 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag.
