It’s not Mother’s Day here.
We celebrated it on 27th March.
You might find this interesting, Mothering Sunday as it is known, has been celebrated over here for a very long time, but the mother in question wasn’t a person, it was a church.
The mother church, where someone was brought up, that was the day that people who had left home to find work elsewhere returned home to go to their mother church.
Now it’s all about mums.
