I think that the Lipid Hypothesis started in the 1950s and taught people to avoid saturated fats.

In recent years a different theory argued that polyunsaturated fats may form free radicals that can initiate heart disease and cancer. Also, that liquid hydrogenated oils are the fats that cause problems.

Which theory is correct?
