Netflix used to have (or has) a certain number of stars indicating how good the movie is.

Now (in some cases?) it has a percentage number (e.g., 96%).

Why the switch? What does it mean?

Netflix watches what you watch and tries to suggest shows that match your profile. I think what you see is the percent match although I can't see your screen. If you want to rate programs to make Netflix more accurate, read this link.

Sometimes I start viewing a Netflix movie, and then within about five-minutes find I don't like it and turn it off.

I wonder if Netflix construes this as a movie I liked, a movie I hated, or otherwise?
