Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier has died at age 97. Rest In Peace Chuck
@glitterbag,
He was a credit to the space race and the nation.
Soaring through the skies now taking one more look before going for a well earned rest.
@glitterbag,
I love to learn the history of the private hot shot test pilot who demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars to do what Yeager did for sixty dollars more a week in paid.
I never seen the man name given. Any body have this gentleman name and info?
@BillRM,
Goodlin was the man who turn down the chance to go into the history books as the first pilot to break the sound barrier in level flight over $$$$$$
Not a good decision in my opinion
