somebody wrote:Abraham Lincoln was a republican.
Yes, that's correct. That was 160 years ago. Lincoln is long dead, and the current GOP resembles the Republican Party of that time in name only.

Systemic racism prevented many black people from accessing well-paying jobs, decent education, and homes in good neighborhoods. Rather than let millions fester in abject poverty a bare bones welfare system was developed. It didn't train people for jobs, but it enabled people to buy food and pay rent. This was a boon to businesses that wanted to tap into this market because people could now afford to buy a limited amount of goods and services. It's deceiving to blame it all on one political party as both parties held power from time to time and controlled the reins of government. Systemic racism is to blame.

KKK wizard Robert Byrd was best friends with Hillary Clinton.
"Best friends" or simply a political ally of convenience? Byrd was never a "wizard" — phony photo — and he left the KKK. He held racist views in the '40s but later renounced them and expressed regret and shame for his KKK activities. So what?
somebody wrote:"If I give them free money..."
This has never been proven to have been said by LBJ. It would be easy to find statements by him which are equally crass, so why not quote one of them instead of using one of questionable authenticity?

So what? Lots of people supported eugenics in the 1920's. There were laws in nearly all the states which advocated sterilization of mentally deficient people, too. Anyone who claims that having access to safe means of contraception is equivalent to wide-scale eugenically inspired sterilization is either unknowingly spreading misinformation or deliberately spewing deceptive propaganda. 60% of women of childbearing age use birth control.
Thanks Democrats!
