Decomposition.
A virus is like a blank CD - It has no information on it until it attaches to an informative device - In this (biological) case an 'ACE2' receptor 'human cell, usb point.
It then Learns to replicate certain cellular functions - Such as reproductive replication.
Upon its replication it attracts the immuno-response system (Antibodies).
Long story short - Inside the body - It goes to sleep.
Outside the body - It crumbles to dust - After a given period of time & in relation to environmental circumstances... ie sunlight, moisture, cold, heat, etc.
It Cannot remain intact once its 'habitat' (Moisture-sac) is dissolved.
