Ford Explorer engine

I am hoping to find a diesel engine for a Ford Explorer.I havent been able to locate anything where I live(central Indiana)If ford makes something like this I would like to find one,if not,I would like to know if there is another type of engine I could swap with the current V-6 that is in it now.

Ford never produced the Explorer in a diesel model and the few Ford Rangers I've ever seen converted were very expensive projects. I've never heard of anyone completing a conversion in an Explorer.
