Sneaking alcohol across the border...

Reply Wed 6 Jul, 2005 02:29 am
My friends and I have been planning a culminating road trip down the california coast in late July for the past 4 months, and several of us are really itching to get some alcohol in Mexico (we will be spending a day in Tijuana). We are all underage, however, and were wondering about the logistics of sneaking alcohol back into the U.S. We are planning on taking those day long tour busses in and out of Tijuana. Also, I was wondering about the legal ramifications of getting caught sneaking it back into the country. Any (knowledgeable) help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I wouldn't worry about that. Fill up your backpacks with cheap liquor, assorted pharmaceuticals, fireworks, marijuana, some Semtex, a whole bunch of pornography, some "Osama is the New Muhammed' books, credit card blanks, pirated CDs, pirated DVDs, pirated software, and marry some girl too and try to bring her (and her extended family) into the country too as your spouse and dependents.

I am sure your parents will see the funny side of it...................*

Especially if your Uncle Jerry is a top notch attorney. Your folks will have a lot to talk about at their next cocktail party. Besides, Uncle Jerry never made good the time that he pilfered your dad's Batman cards. Now would be a great time for him to make amends. Laughing

If only I had a sheisty Uncle Jerry... but does anyone actually know what trouble I could be getting into by sneaking alcohol into the U.S.? I am 18, so it wouldn't be illegal to obtain in Mexico.

We are here to introduce you to the concept of "Risk/Reward".

1Bringing the **** back across the border has a risk

2 You may get caught at the American side.

3 THis is a felony, called smuggling, and its punishable by detention and some **** on your forever permanent rap sheet

4 If you make it , you have the enjoyment of drinking teuila with your friends till you vomit.

Either way, sounds like fun. Make believe that youre a retard, they will fear and pity you at theborder and let you go with your stuff. Shouldnt be a big stretch for you. Are you planning to go to college >

Id like to be there when the customs guys ask you,
"are you bringing any alcohol across the border?"
Then you say "NO SIR", then they size you up to see whether they detect any facial tics to help them decide whethere to do a full cavity search. Maybe your number will be up and theyll do a cavity search anyway.

So you should learn to speak up with authority and be able to say
"How the hell did that get there?"
Im being set up by liquor smugglers!!"
"Mommy"

Your family will be real proud of you, whatever your decision. Im sure.

Haha alright I will start work immediately on my new handicapped persona. I'm a method actor so I'll hit up the alzheimer's center down the road.

And no,I am not aware of a difference between an old timer w/ alzheimers and a retard. I'm that ignorant. Hopefully the customs agents won't be able to discern the two either. Thanks a bunch!

P.S. I am planning on attending college next year, so I'm thinking this isn't the brightest of ideas.

The obvious solution is to cross from Nuevo Laredo to Laredo, where you will encounter Texas State Liquor Control agents who are only interested in collecting the tax on the booze and who don't give a damn how much you bring back.

No, it's not a bright idea at all. Getting drunk on a regular basis or to an extreme degree isn't a bright idea, either--believe me, i've done it and i regret it and i don't do it any longer.
