This link can help you find more answer to pretty much anything. Just add a word or question. For example you can ask it:

Portuguese influence on perspective, and foreshortening. You can change the words around until you get an answer.

I could not find a better example, sorry. I hope it's the right Mughal.

Jahangir Spearing a Lioness
Ud-Daula Mughal

See how the artist has positioned the people, and other object in the paintings? According to distance, and place. Thats perspective, and foreshortening. See the other painting above too.

Others here are better artist, and will be happy to add something to help you understand.

i am very much grateful sir. its a good link. it was a big help to me.

sir, though they are using tough concepts , but in simple words i started believing the fact , these images are basically conversion of 3D images into 2D images(i.e on canvas). thats the art which demands skill. may be portugese artists were very much skilled into their painting so that they could present any visual 3D moments into a 2D canvas. and mughal paintings wrer influenced by those artistic beauty.

BTW, thats a very beautiful image of jahangir you have posted.

thank you

Yes tintin. Art had many other influences too. I'm glad you understand now.

You should have posted this in the Art forum, and you would have gotten more help.

JZH, all it takes is a lot of practice. Like in writing, the more you do it the better you get.

Perspective, and foreshortening are used to give depth, and a three dimensional look to the painting.

Perspective: Seing where you, and other things stand. To give the effect of solidity, and relative distance, and size.
