Just for what it's worth, Region once posted a parody of The Scream. It substituted a bull dog for a person and was titled The Drool. I'm too lazy to look for it, and way off topic, anyway.

I like The Scream, The Kid has a copy of it we bought in Amsterdam.
I heard it was painted shortly after the Krakatoa eruption which explains the colour of the sky.
Just for you Izzy because my opinions on dystopian art isn't appreciated. Dystopian art is supposed to make one uncomfortable and unsettled. My choice makes people too unsettled and uncomfortable. Actually makes a few of them just downright hostile.

@edgarblythe,
Right?!
Yet some people love it. It evokes some pretty strong feelings. I guess great art does that, but I'm not on the fence about it. I despise it.

@izzythepush,
If you felt like saying why you like it, I'd be interested!
I had a buddy who liked it. I think it pleased him to no end when people like me reacted to it. 😛 Yet I sincerely think he liked it for it's own sake, too. Wish I had asked him why at the time.
I'm not saying I'd hang it on my bedroom wall, but I'd give it a good long look at a gallery.

@tsarstepan,
None - Art is a reflection of an individuals, subjective, psyche.
Worth a look, indeed.
But 'looking' and 'seeing' cannot occur simultaneously.
Have a splendid awakening,
