Hello, teachers.
Sometimes I find it annoying or confusing to choose between these verb forms.
Should I choose:
When water [boils / is boiled]
Projects [start / are started] every year.
Wood (burns / is burned)
Could you help with, please?

Provide complete sentences for suggestions on how to word them in the passive voice.

Example:
The boy threw the ball.
The ball was thrown by the boy.
