Photos as screen savers
Craven - I think I'm following your instructions, but I can't get the photo on the screen, even though it shows up (only temporarily) in the Background menu. I have a photo of a white rose that I want to use; I've put it into a My Photos folder, but it just doesn't transfer from the folder to the screen.

Am I missing some step here or is my computer being ornery? Confused

Idea Maybe it will only work from My Pictures? (though I really can't see why one folder would work and the other not).

I've got it! I've got it! Exclamation Very Happy

The icon I was using was a shortcut, not the original picture. Now I've got a nice wintry shot of the trees around our place all snow covered, right there on the screen!

Thank you!!!

Thank you everyone. I have switched - it now being spring (or so they tell me) - to my white rose photo. It looks so real you can almost feel its dewy petals.

My next step is to collect a bunch of goodies for a slide show.

Gezzy ~ I know, I know, I know. I would love being in Canada simply for the weather ~ not to mention a very nice friend!

One of these days, I'll be able to live where I want to live. Too many responsibilities right now.....sniff, sniff.....

{{{Hug}}} I hear ya girlfriend! Things will fall into place in time ;-)

As much as I love the seasons, the winters can be very long up this way. I'm not complaining by any means, but I sure can't wait for all this snow to be gone, <sigh>.

(((((gezzy)))))

I love Florida ~ absolutely love it. But I so miss the change of seasons, and after twenty-five years, sweating for nine months out of the year is taking its toll.....

Never mind that I'm just happier when it's cold.....

So, how soon can I come visit?!?!? Laughing

I know what you mean about the change of seasons. I've always lived with those seasons and I couldn't imagine not having them.
