Quite a while back I asked Abuzz how to get one of my photos into the Display list for screen saver and/or wallpaper use. I've lost the answer, but I know there is a very simple way, because some of my old pix are in those menus.
The question is how did I get them there?
To get in in your wallpaper list just click on the button "browse" and then go to the folder on your harddrive where the photo is located and select it.
As to using images in a screensaver, photos are not screensavers.
There are screensavers that can use a photo or photos.
One that comes with the recent version of windows is the photo album sceensaver. It can take a folder of images and rotate through them. It usually uses the "My Photos" folder in your "My Documents".
So if you have that screensaver select it and put the images you want to use in your "My Photos" folder.
BTW the "browse" button is located in the wallpaper selecting area. If you have any more questions or need a more detailed response lemme know.
Photos as screen savers and/or wallpaper
Thanks Craven. I'll try that. BTW - Is there any way to remove stuff from those menus?
I don't know of a way. Maqybe through the desktop cleanup feature.
Or you can go to the folder where the image is located and move the image to a new folder. I'm not sure if that would work but I think it would.
Far as I can tell, as long as you have any images stored on your hard-drive, they will be offered as options for changing wallpaper. You can move them to a disk or cd and then remove them from your hard-drive.
I've got a picture of Uluru.
Uluru? What the.....?

Don't get all mushy on me now......
I'm always getting mushy.
One of the reasons I love ya so much.....
I have one of those little micro cameras attached to the computer. I took some pictures of my cat, and stored them in My Documents. Then I right-clicked on the photo at Save as wallpaper, and that's how I got the picture of my cat as wallpaper. Since I am computer ignorant, I am always happy to read what you say, Craven. Even though I'd like to think I know more than I do, I don't. And that's why I have grandsons - they've also taught me a lot.
Good question. Thanks for posting it.
