What is the name of that movie?!? It's driving me nuts!

A long, long time ago - I think it was in the late 90s, beginning of the 2000s - I (as a child) saw part of an apocalyptic movie about a group of people who were the only ones left on earth. If I remember correctly, one of them woke up in the hospital (maybe he woke up from a coma?) to find that the hospital is completely empty. I also remember that the group finally got to the airport where it, of course, was empty and I think the movie ends with the group flying off in a plane before the earth falls into pieces (almost like legos and everything turns completely black). Does anybody know what movie I am referring to? It is driving me crazy, I really want to find the title and watch it again. Grateful to all the help I can get.
