Abused friends - majority will be dead in ten years

I recently met up with old mentors and teachers, it turns out the majority of my childhood friends were abused and molested. If you're from the suburbia you know this is nothing weird, and is part of our society. But we dealt with the issue, I told them my witness (i.e when we went swimming with the school). This is something very subtle and might happen to you. Think it of as you're walking on a line - don't look down. Anyone else got some tips for people like this? They're very very unstable emotionally during this period - and you don't interfere with them, don't look down. Anyone else can assist us here?
