@tsarstepan,
Is Cats a logical purview that box-office eschatology can literally portend?

@ekename,
"If Dante had seen Cats, he would have created a tenth circle of Hell." (paraphrasing) Chris Stuckmann.

@tsarstepan,
I've barely stomached witnessing this one yesterday after work.

Even after fixing to some degree the terrible broken or unfinished CGI glitches, the studio did not save this terrible SUPER UGLY AND SUPER BORING film.

@tsarstepan,
the sound of heads rolling on the studios floors??

Who wers the blme for presuming that there wuld be a big demand for a film version of this thing?

Mrs F and a buncha her yenta sister went up to see this years ago. I dont think e were even married a yeaar. She came back and we immediately bought a cat that we named "lefty" after her uncle.

@roger,
I saw it in the theater in the 80's........hated it....I didn't even enjoy the music. We almost stunted our young son's music appreciation.....he forgave us....but I had to buy him a Paul Reed Smith.

It's not the worst thing in the world (nor will likely be the worst movie from last year). It does have it's gorgeous moments which are likely can be attributed to Andrew Lloyd Webber's orchestral scoring and Jennifer Hudson's rendition of Memory. They're are miniscule moments compared to rest of the cinematic crime against cinemanity.

Horrid ALW crap to being with and then they thought it should be a movie? I hope ALW has to watch it in a loop til he dies.

So? Is Wonder Woman 1984 in the Andrew Lloyd Weber Cats universe or is Andrew Lloyd Weber Cats in the DC universe?

Because jellicles can and jellicles do
Jellicles do and jellicles can
Jellicles can and jellicles do
Jellicles do and jellicles can
Jellicles can and jellicles do

I musta been on one of my sabbaticals when this thread came into being. Never noticed it. But since you revived it, Steve, here is my opinion:

Cats was a great Broadway production...one of the longest running and most award winning musicals ever.

I enjoyed the movie a lot.

I love cats. (We have four at the moment.)

All this nonsense about how bad the movie is...is just crap.
