@ehBeth,
I'm still working on my cheese crackers made from a Penzey's recipe. I know I put it on a2k, no immediate link. The good thing about them is that they are extremely delicious but you only need one, or at the most, two.

It's been a little over a year now where I've had this need for chocolate. I have to have some every day, preferably after a meal.
I don't know what triggered this obsession, but I'm thinking it has something to do with premenopause.
Makes sense to me anyway. I always heard that chocolate cravings and hormones had a connection.
Just got a bunch of left over Christmas chocolates at 50% off this week.
The salsa and sour cream thing with the chips sounds really good to me, so I think you'd love it Roger ;-)
It's less sweet than you'd think, and the chocolate-chickpea combo isn't as strange as it sounds. Any chocolate flavor comes from unsweetened cocoa powder, and the sweetness is organic turbinado sugar, vanilla extract, and coconut milk. It rings in at 80 calories per 2 Tbsp. (which is only 10 calories more than Sabra hummus) and 4 grams of sugar. The grainy texture is more prominent here, and if it was a little smoother it could be something like "healthyish chocolate pudding." However, the Healthyish team found both options a little artificial-tasting and wished for less added sugar overall. Another taster compared it to oily boxed cake mix (before it goes in the oven), but the prominent chickpea aftertaste made it less appealing than, well, actual cake mix. Overall, some of us would recommend it to vegan friends, or as a way trick kids into eating more chickpeas, but not for adults who can eat real brownies in moderation.
