Leftists trying to virtue signal "how much they care" are going about it all wrong. Violating other people's civil liberties for no reason just isn't going to work.

First, as the left must surely have noticed by now, the American people are not going to allow the left to violate our civil liberties for no reason.

But even if the left had actually been able to get away with violating people's civil liberties for no reason, that would have made for some pretty weak virtue signalling.

Think about it. "I care so much that I harmed a stranger for no reason!" just isn't a very dramatic statement.

If the left truly wishes to virtue signal how much they care, they need to make a real personal commitment with some serious self sacrifice.

For instance, if a leftist burns down their own house to demonstrate how much they care, no one is ever going to miss the point that "that's one leftist who actually cares".

Or if a leftist chops off all of their fingers in order to show how much they care, no one will ever doubt the depth of their caring.

So come on leftists. Stop trying to virtue signal how much you care by trying to violate strangers' civil liberties for no reason.

Go get a meat cleaver and chop off your fingers. Prove to everyone how deeply you care.

I advise the left to not murder people in their efforts to demonstrate how much they care.

If the left really wants to engage in serious virtue signalling, major self sacrifice is the only way to truly impress us how deeply they care.
