Well, sometimes it can be. There seems to be some confusion regarding this. If someone fails to convince me of his or her opinion they might easily call me arrogant since I "stubbornly refuse to see sense".

I am sure that were we here to debate a genious we'd probably all agree that he was arrogant if he didn't compensate for our inferiority. But is it not equally arrogant of us to demand he make this sacrifice?

I have come to think that when you're calling someone arrogant, you are just inferior, and in denial of this fact.
