Hell we can't accurately predict the tomorrow in our own lives. Que sera, sera. What will be will be.

Being such a curious creature, is it possible we imagine the future correctly and what we are creating now will come to pass ?

What about the self-fulfilling prophecy?

I think that the self-fulfilling prophecy is so powerful.

Probably way more powerful than a lot of us admit. And how much of it is subconscious--we're not even aware of it.

Are we creating our own future right now like 85%, but we just don't know it?

How powerful do you all think the self-fulfilling prophecy is in your life?

And as we age we hope we are closer to wine than to slime.

the future is really the siren song that keeps those of us with an active sense of curiosity from packing it in, faced with the hideous mess we have made to date, just in order to find out what happens.

[written across my tomb stone (even though i don't expect to have one) will be "he is now royally pissed off! 'cause he didn't get to see how it ends!"]

THATS ONE THING I HOPE FOR WHEN I DIE IS THAT I WILL HAVE the ability to visit the future and past as far as I want to before moving on to ANOTHER STATE OF BEING.

the nice thing about dying, Algis, is that you won't be 'disappointed'!

My hubby called me around midnight to tell me he was on his way home and after I hung up I had this terrible thought of him driving down the expressway and coming up on a stalled car in the middle of the lane. I shrugged it off (I am a habitual worrier) and went to sleep.

He woke me up to tell me that he was almost in a bad accident. He was driving down the expressway and began changing lanes. Just as he was crossing over into another lane, he saw in his lights a box spring and other garbage in the lane he was just in.

Ok, so it wasn't a car stalled in the road but it was something. Kind of freaked me out.
