Being such a curious creature, is it possible we imagine the future correctly and what we are creating now will come to pass ?

Don't know. If so, what does that say about us. The holocaust, the crusades and on and on and on. I'd hate to think that we imagined those things correctly and they came to pass.

Maybe as we have progressed over time has lead this specific quality more accurate. maybe we are at all times imagining things just x amount of years away and that value is getting less and less over time.

Im thinking ahead to when the glaciers shall again cover the North and leave an additional portion in a tundra like condition. Or how about a really big comet strike?. We can see these as a certainty and we wont begin any planning till its waay too late.

Oddly enough I think it's a way of preparing ourselves for it.
Ahhh robots taking over the world we saw that in 2000 or something with terminator...no big deal !

you are, i think, algis, confusing 'prescience' with 'premonition'; both are similar in nature, but the former is based upon thought, while the later comes from a 'hunch' like sort of dream state mental image without basis.

[the future is just the past, waiting to happen]

6 billion people imagine 6 billion different futures … many of us work to create the future we imagine but circumstances intervene, some worry excessively about possible futures that never come to pass. Why are some better than others at making their dreams come true? Who or what really determines our fate?
