Hi. I am interested in producing Flash animations and I am interested in showcasing them online in web video form.

@JGoldman10,
It's safe to say there aren't any Flash animators here on a2k. I don't believe we have anyone active in computer animation here.

Also? Surprised that anyone uses Flash anymore (given its checkered online security history).

Besides, you have less than 2 years before Adobe stops all support for the program.

Quote:
Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari have all been blocking Flash over the past year....

That article was written in 2017. So? How do you plan on having others watch this animation after it's produced. All Apple products still don't support the format.
Adobe will finally kill Flash in 2020

If you played any browser based games in the mid 2000's, they would have likely been programed by Adobe Flash.

Flash Animation is a supplemental program known for being really easy to use and inexpensive for amateur animators/online creators.

@tsarstepan,
Hi Tsar, how are you? There are a handful of professional animators who use Flash. A large chunk of cartoons that are produced for TV now are made in Flash.

Adobe Flash is a 2-D animation software program that a lot of people use to produce 2-D animation.

Here's two examples of Flash cartoons:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfVkgYhMmQs

There's a bunch of Flash cartoons on YouTube. You can find Flash cartoons on other video sharing sites like Dailymotion and Metacafe.

I believe you can find Flash cartoons showcased in videos on social media sites too and on artist/writer community sites like DeviantArt.

Go to Newgrounds.com. That's an artist/writer community site that showcases Flash cartoons.

Here's one from there:

https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/397373

They also showcase Flash games.

There are other Flash cartoon and Flash game sites like Newgrounds.

I am friends with a Flash animator I met on YouTube. He has produced a handful of Flash cartoons and video showcases of original comics he made. I befriended him when I asked him how he produced his Flash cartoons and video showcases of his comics. He told me about the functionality of Flash and the other software he used on his videos. I think he also told me what equipment he used when he uploaded his videos to YouTube too if I am not mistaken.

I told my friend on YouTube, who makes Flash cartoons which he showcases in videos, and also makes video showcases of his own comics, that Adobe is going to discontinue support for Flash in 2020:

https://money.cnn.com/2017/07/25/technology/adobe-killing-flash/

I specifically posted two links to two questions in which this was mentioned to him on YouTube:

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20181121151844AAWOQWk
https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20190124200139AAL8OPI

He told me he's not going to let discontinued support of Flash stop him from making Flash cartoons and uploading them to YouTube. He told me he's going to continue to do this for as long as he can.

Newgrounds is full of flash animators that may be interested in working with you. Here's one artist's reel for example:

https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/668728

I'm sure there'll be lots there that you might find neat.

Also have you considered trying to contact the team at neopets? They're still developing flash games and animations for their website which still has a lot of users (including me!)

Weebl's Stuff are still producing flash animations and putting them on youtube as well.

I think Flash Gaming is still very popular, I'm not sure what sort of project you're doing but it might be worth expanding into there.

@TheSubliminalKid,
Hello. I have a NG account. As of the time of the posting of this, I was temp banned from posting to the forums on NG for about a month.

There are users on NG who are knowledgeable about how to use Flash and other 2-D animation software.

I WAS going to ask more questions about utilizing Flash, and questions about uploading Flash cartoons in video form to video hosting sites, and other platforms, and how to make video showcases of comics on video hosting sites on NG, and I WAS going to post some artwork to the site, and post some audio clips of some vocal characterizations I was working on, and other contributions to the site, etc., before I got temp banned from there.

I was hoping there would be at least one person here on A2K who is knowledgeable about how to use Flash, who could answer my questions.

That's one of the reasons I decided to come back to this site.

But once again, there isn't a large, small, or even marginal active population here at a2k that you can mine their respective Flash expertise from. Know thy audience.

Have you considered ..

@tsarstepan,
Hi Tsar. I am aware of that. I was just explaining to Sub part of my reason for coming back to A2k.

No I didn't consider going on Awn.com or on Board.flaskkit.com and seeking help. Thank you for the suggestions.

I know there are Flash tutorial videos on YouTube and on other video sharing sites (Dailymotion, Metacafe, etc.).

Maybe some animation people on social media sites like Reddit can educate me on how to use Flash?

@Ragman,
Ragman he just said thanks for the suggestions in that same post. So while he hadn’t thought of it at the time, he has now. It seems like he’s going to check them out too.
