New Hampshire is the State, now the town?

(Building was erected in 1862 and is now on the National Register.)

Not that one Letty, town's initial is the letter "H" though.
Hint: Think about an odd walk around the block with some fellows near the old hall. Smile

Ok, I had forgotten your stated info, Dutchy. The building is used as a post office today; built in 1820; National Registry; New Hampshire, but NOT Hampstead.

Ok, I'll keep looking, buddy, but it may be a little while as I have to do some stuff.

The building was erected in 1862 Letty!

Further hint: The town of the building is bordered by the Town of Chesterfield on the north, the Town of Winchester on the east, the Town of Northfield, Massachusetts to the south, and the Town of Brattleboro, Vermont on the west.

My word, Dutchy. Sorry to be so dense. It's in Hinsdale, N.H. and the building is the order of Odd Fellows, which is today, a post office.

I am certain that Dutchy will confirm this when he can, so I shall proceed.

Where am I and what is the significance of the place?

Well, Dutchy. You did everything but wrap it up in Christmas paper with a lovely bow on top. <smile>

Hint: Mata Hari

Letty is there a connection between Mata Hari and your picture?

yes, Dutchy. I told George that it was not the home of a famous author(although she has written) or poet, but it is the home of a famous person, and one that intrigues me with her mystique.

Do you think I can find the answer here?

Seriously in what field was the woman of mystique well known?

Love it, Dutchy. Not Betty, nor Letty either. Razz

She was a great movie star, and often misquoted. She really said:

"I want to be left alone."

That must be Garbo, who played Mata Hari on film.

Goodnight, dear Dutchy.

Yes, the place is the home of Greta Garbo. Can you tell us where it is, George?
