England, only country to drive on left in Europe?
oops, my fault, Dutchy. I was waiting for London.
yes duchy,, it's very english but I think, Cyprus, Malta & Giberalta drive on the left as well
Agree but their countryside looks different to yours. Is this somewhere in the middle of England and what is the significance of the place?
It's on the South West prninsular & has a castle dating back to William the Conquerer & a church of a similar age & I was born there
Would love to continue but must unfortunately leave you now to go and do some work. I'm sure Letty will continue for a while.
Ah, Dutchy. I really thought that you weren't returning to this thread, but it's nice to see the oak man getting into it.
Ok, What is that little round looking cottage on my right, John?
It's called the Yarnmarket & dates from the 16th or 17th century. It's where local sheep farmers would bring their fleeze too sell
Did you say, fleas?
Now for the section of your little island. Have we established that it is NOT in London
It's some distance to the west of london
no, cardiff is in Wales. you need to come back across the river
I get the worst maps. I don't see any place west of London. but it is in England, right?
it is most definately in england. the village & the castle were very prominant during the civil war & was very much a Royalist region
Sheeeze. Wild and sheepish guess. Dunmow?
neigh. wrong side of the country, unless you are taking the pretty route via Siberia

John, I get lost here, sometimes.
Let me find another map.
Ok. I see Reading. (always thought that was on a monopoly board.

) Is that the place?

When you can, John. Tell me if the place is on this map:
