I didn't know Grant had a nickname, but I found this:
Ulysses S. Grant U.S. Grant
Unconditional Surrender Grant
Useless
Don't believe one of those is the name of that estate in Virginia. Well, maybe Manassas is the place you mean, Francis.

I am really chagrined when two Europeans have to lead me to the place like a neophyte. The hero of Appomattox is his nickname. (didn't know that) and it must be in Appomattox, Virginia. Sheeeeeeze.

And that place is Appomattox Manor, first registred by Francis Eppes.
Well, my goodness, Francis. Thank you. I would never have thought Petersburg, Virginia to be the place. I've been there, too during my visits to Richmond.

Just an added note. I have always considered that to be East Virginia, but Not the tidewater section.
As for Grant, he was one fantastic general and one lousy president because of the graft that occurred during his administration, such as in the department of Indian affairs. All done from memory, because I am too tired to research it. (I think my glucose is up)

Ok, although Walter and Francis virtually gave me the answer to the place, I feel that I need to let dadpad know something; consequently where is this place:

dadpad, no, but Tico, yes. Love it! I am staying up to watch Arabian Nights and later Medium.
Another hit about the monkeys.
There were several movies made at this place, hence the need for imported simians.
