But I'm having a wonderful time discovering Bretagne -- unfortunately the Grimaldi link led me to their questionable lineage, Algeria, Mexico, Diane de Poitiers .....
What am I supposed to be doing?

Well, Tico/Ti. you and I are in the same boat, a leaky one.
Walter, does the blue have to do with Cote d' Azur?

Perhaps you can call it "azur blue" - that would be the only connection I'm really aware of - besides that Grimaldi-link, of course

Well, I'm having another café latte while holding the fort - but it will be bedtime for me soon ...

I think I need something stronger than a café latte! I did find a postage size photo of a lighthouse at Matignon, and I know there's a Grimaldi connection to Matignon ....
Vikings, Jamie III .... I'll definitely get lost in the web that way.

Walter, you are delightful:
Cats and castles and Vikings and creamed coffee. I haven't a clue to your clues, but I will keep searching.

There must have been a typo when typing this search - otherwise ....

Before you go to bed Walter, you must tell us the clues to Grimaldi, James III, and The Vikings!
Otherwise I concede the discovery to Letty. Whew! that was hard work.

In 1715, James III of Scotland took refuge there and thought the place sinister and later that year Louise-Hippolyte Grimaldi, heiress to the throne of Monaco married one of the Goyon family [owners of that castle] on condition that he took the Grimaldi name and coat of arms.
Several films have been shot there, most notably Vikings (1957) starring Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis.
