Hey, C.I. Nope, not New England
a clue, and then I am off to watch Medium. <smile>
This is the home of a famous person. Don't forget. I was thinking of the predecessor to the UN.
Goodnight
That's too easy hints, Miss Letty.
UN predecessor= Society of Nations.
Society of Nations = Woodrow Wilson.
House = Woodrow Wilson's home.
Which one? Augusta, Georgia.
Wilson's home
Amazing what you can learn on this thread, last two postings were total foreign to me, had heard of "League of Nations", but did not connect Woodrow Wilson. Thank you Francis.
Well, Francis got it. Wilson made a lot of concessions to get The League of Nations only to have Henry Cabot Lodge defeat it. Germany observed that they were defeated at the peace table and not on the battlefield, hence laying the groundwork for WWII. Wilson became incapacitated and his wife ran the U.S. for about a year. Have always loved that saying, "Boston, the land of the bean and the cod, where the Cabots speak only to Lodges, and the Lodges speak only to God.
Go, Francis.
humming while waiting on Francis:
" Around the world I searched for you, I went along til hope was gone to keep our rendezvous."
Where am I?
Letty, I know you are kidding! LOL That's where Thomas stayed in Chicago.
Thats never Thomas relaxing....or is it?
Of course I was kidding, C.I. but I had no idea that Thomas had stayed there. What a nice guy. but I hear he is to become one of us.
Hey, Steve. When are you going to make the move back to the colonies.
Next place at the sunset:
Lovely, Francis, especially the one at sunset. Europe?
No, Miss Letty, but the place is specially dear to my heart...
Is that an island, Francis?
Indeed it is, Miss Letty...
I think Australia can be considered as both an island and a continent. Is it Australia?
Not Australia. I've not yet been there...
