Dutchy, you are such a nice guy. It was your turn anyway as you guessed Francis' place. His hint about the light bulb is a big clue and I was a big kid before I understood that it was the improved filament that made this inventor's the better one.

Good morning Letty & Francis. I woke up with "Christmas Lights" all around me, then realised they were the sun rays shining through my window.
Despite the hints I'm no further. Can only come up with the Edison Hotel, in Time Square, New York.....??

What a poetic way to express your awakening, Dutchy. The Wizard of Menlo Park is, of course, Thomas Edison. That place is a mall with sunlight streaming over it. <smile>
You will find later, where Menlo Park is, so go ahead Auzzie. Post a place

Dutchy, are we looking at Southern Australia? I just found a Straight Gate Lutheran church, but Google denies its existence. I'm assuming that material is native to your country.

Well, Dutchy, he may be the reason that you Auzzies can flip a switch and get a light that lasts.
So, this church is made of native material and is in Southern Australia. Will it help in my search to know the denomination?

Letty I can't see the picture you posted but I presume it is the Serbian Orthodox UNDERGROUND church in Coober Pedy in the north of South Australia.
Coober Pedy is the place where they find Opals and everything is done underground, not only because of the opal, but of the hot climate. Temperatures often reach between 40 & 50 degrees Celsius in summer, but in the underground homes it is a comfortable 24 degrees Celsius all year round.
Have friends there and been mining with them a few times, a remarkable experience.
Will be away for the next 8 hours Letty so won't be attending my computer.

Yes, Dutchy it was, but quite small. Later, honey. I am looking at my Mamma's opal as we speak.
For some reason, I was thinking about the predecessor to the UN, so take that as a hint
