Yes, expedition vessel. Name of boat and/or place.
I think I got the ship: Ernest Shackleton (British)
Good show, Dutchy. I'm impressed. Your turn.
BTW, Duthcy, I took the picture of the RRS Ernest Shackleton at Grytviken in South Georgia last year in January on my visit to Antarctica. Since you're a relative newbie, and didn't know about my visit to the seventh continent, I thought it was a handicap for you to figure this one out.
If you enjoy travelogues, I just completed one on my journey to South America. Just go to the Travel thread, South America, and you'll find it.
Thank you CI. I will have a look at the travel thread later on. Once I knew it was an expedition/icebreaker type of ship, it was a matter of time finding a picture thanks to googles. Very enjoyable experience.

Where am I?
I know this one dutchy and thats a core promise so I will sit this out.
I do not recall, i do not remember, I have no specific recollection of that being any kind of hint.
Kennedy Center, Washington DC.
Ooops, wrong place. Is it in Australia?
CI, sorry for the delay, had a spell for a little while. It is indeed Australia.
Yes it is, at a rough guess I'd say within 100 to 125 miles inland.
I think, it's that big fountain in Canberra ...
... on Lake Burley Griffin
Good morning Walter nice to see you. You may have just pipped CI, never mind, you are indeed correct. You must have recognised the National Library in the background which I posted once before.
Your turn.
