The only part of Europe, where such instruments are played and people where such hats, and which are islands ... is in Africa.
I doubt, it's on the Canary Islands.
But: Madeira?
Letty is in the right neighbourhood ~ not Europe, but the South Pacific.
(but not adobe)
(shakes head in wonderment)
Francis has it!
Actually, I'm not sure if the church is on Atiu -- the photo credit said Rarotonga. The image is too "close up" to tell. The old churches in the Cooks are constructed of blocks of coral with a thin layer of lime stucco over top. The interiors are wonderfully colourful, with patterns borrowed from the Maori tattoos (Cook Islanders are Maori). And music is very, very important. I spent a Sunday morning cycling around Rarotonga, the idyllic Pacific providing the background on one side, and music floating out of the churches on the other.
Go Francis.
Somewhere that many pasty, fat white people like to go.
US but not the islands...
I thought that boardwalk looked familiar.
The boardwalk was a good giveaway.

Now, where's this?
