husker : backtrack the great lakes and you'll be there

(the bottom of ... is literally covered with shipwrecks - mostly small sailing vessels that went under during the fall storm seasons during the last 150 years)

husker : you are right on(missed your earlier post) . i chose eastern lake ontario . local lore has it that this end of the lake has the greatest number of wrecks - apparently not true .
i guess eastern lake ontario is very popular with divers because of easy access . lake superior is a lot colder than lake ontario (as we found out in our travels) and not as easy to dive .

Wow! I thought Hatteras was considered the graveyard of the Atlantic. Would never have thought of Lake Ontario.
