Although Walter may have a valid argument ~ I never could find the dividing line between Recife and Olinda.
If you're going to this part of Brazil, hamburger, take a lot of sunscreen and don't plan on moving very fast, and do NOT spend more than 15 minutes at a time in the full sun no matter how well you tan. Sea level, 8 degrees south, and northern dwellers don't mix. One wag on our trip kept sniffing and saying, "Does anyone smell Canadian bacon?"
we'll be there for one day only , april 9 . it's our last stop in brazil on a 31 day cruise from santiago to lisbon . next stop will be mindelo, cape verde islands (we'll be leaving from toronto on march 17 - only three months to go !!!) hbg
