Bravo, Walter.

It's a neat church, Santa Maria della Pieve. The back of it forms part of the surrounding of Arezzo's Piazza Grande, which also has the beautiful Vasari loggia help enclose it.

The piazza has a giant antique fair, some 750 stalls, I believe - it wasn't happening when I was there. It's also where I got to have my favorite all time iced coffee...

There is a jousting tourney there as well, in memory of the days with the Saraceni.

Here's a view of one side of the piazza, with the romanesque Pieve church on the left and Vasari's loggia on the far right of the photo -

Well, Walter and Francis are really tip top at finding where places are, Letty.

I have the feeling I've previously shown that church somewhere back in Travel thread history (oh, well). The tower is called the tower of a hundred holes, although there aren't a hundred, it just seems that way. I have a good photo of my own of the church inside, but it's not handy at the moment.

No, not Westphalia (I didn't take that photo myself - no idea about the 'spiritual' status of the photographer Laughing ).
