It's in California, Dutchy. It's nearby the first photo I showed, which I figured out later would be hard to research, and that one had been agreed to be in California.

Right, light.

I remember it from the fifties and many trips to Penny's and the five and dime. Much has changed, including the 'promenade' fix. More recent memories include Hennessey and Ingalls art and architecture bookstore, where I blew too much money, repeatedly. Oh, and the farmers' market is fabulous.

Oh, that first photo that I retracted from the quiz was of Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice - where my first gallery was in the seventies. Interesting street re its changes as well.

I always went there for the restaurants like Bangkok West and Chloe, but there are so many. One can take in the original Getty or take a run up to Malibu. I remember the original Promenade before the huge make-over and we'd make it a point to visit whenever I stayed over at friends in Hollywood. So since this is also Southern California, I'd like the actual name of the particular place:

Yes and that's the address of an Argentine inspired restaurant, so I suppose you have guessed it. There's actually two answers, or three if you include the restaurant (except you can't really see it in the photo).
