Is that a painting?
I can't tell if it's a place I've never seen the likes of, like Australia, or a painter's version of somewhere in the Bahamas.
It is not a painting but one of the many pretty spots around Australia.
Looks like Bramston, Queensland...
Queensland is correct but not Bramston.
Okay, I'll just display my incredible ignorance and ask if this is upon the southern coast of Australia?
(Go ahead with the answer, Francis, I'll wiggle some info for the future..)
Not South Australia. Queensland occupies the north-eastern corner of Australia.
just caught that queensland is not southern. Tripping over debris...
Of course, all but me will recognize the particulars of this map -
another map, for the use of myself and me -
Hint, the second part of the name is the first name of a famous World War II General.
This is a lovely map, but I can't read it.
Are we south of something that looks like Mackey?
Well, that looks like a winner..
Well done Letty.

Sorry for the delay but I'm in the middle of my dinner. Your turn.
Douglas MacArthur was the right clue, Dutchy. I'm up early because I needed a caffeine fix. What a headache.
Back in a while with a place.
Where am I? A hint in advance. A professor at Virginia Tech wrote a book about this place. It was called, "Murder on the..........." (no, not Virginia.

)
Here's another clue:
Maine | New Hampshire | Vermont | Massachusetts |
Connecticut | New York | New Jersey | Pennsylvania | Maryland |
West Virginia | Virginia | North Carolina and Tennessee | Georgia |
The terminus is in Virginia.
