That's the place, osso. There are several legends about the child, but you are on target, as I checked out the info to be certain.
Your turn.
Oh, good...
for quite a while I was looking around the Jamestown area...
well, back in a minute.
I'm off to the post office and market, back in a bit.
It reminds me a lot to some mountains I saw quite often this year in May. Right?
Sedona Mountains of Arizona?
Much more sandy than Sedona, I believe...
Actually, so is Francis soooo right.
Actually, dys could see it from the street? (Since Francis is sooo right as well

)
Dys and Diane and her son & friend and I saw it up close on Thursday...
Guess: New Mexico
The Sandia Mountains, an essential element of Albuquerque Style! They are a source of many attractions and activities that make the outdoor Albuquerque lifestyle so appealing.
So it's on the way to Taos ... somewhere in the Sandia Mountains, as Letty correctly noted.
Yeap - but too late for me
You are both right, Walter and Letty, as you can see it from a street near Dys and Diane's. Letty was more specific - whoever wants to go next.
I'll add though that it was the tram area, the tram ride being two miles long.
Here's a nice website on it with a bunch of photos - well, I hope it works.

House of some celebrity US?
Hoorah! Dutchy is back. Yes, it is in the U.S., buddy, and I guess you could say it's the home of a celebrity, sorta.
Is the place in a State near the sea or an inland State?
It's not right on the coast, Dutchy, but it's considered a Southern state, if that helps.
Hint: one of our folks on the riddle thread might give you a clue. <smile>
