Buenos Aires Classic Art Show May 2005.

ARTECLASICA 2005

On May 5th it started and lasted till today, May 10th ARTECLASICA 2005 has taken place, once again in Buenos Aires. This is a successful immense art market fair; hence not only a cultural event but social, economic and artistic at the same time.

Organized and directed by a group of art gallery owners, art dealers, artists and all sort of cultural organizations and magazines from Argentina and other countries in the world as well, this year's edition has surpassed everyone's expectations. Featuring a huge 5,000 sq meters gallery and twice as much artists and experts taking part actively in this amazing event, during the initial days it has had more visitors than the over 20,000 individual's record from the 2004 edition.

Salvador Costanzo (Great Honor Award from the Salón Nacional 2004), Vito Campanella (famous artist homage for his 50 years trajectory in our country), Jorge Rajadell, Rodolfo Insaurralde, Ricardo Celma, Martín Rwinij, Carlos Tessarolo, Jorge Melo, Carlos Monzani, Juan Carlos Diotti, César López Claro, Jorge Diaz Puerta, Lola Frexas, Leopoldo Torres Aguero, Miguel Avataneo and many more fabulous artists exhibited with great pleasure their works.

Among the special features we must comment aside on the wonderful ambient created by Edgardo Benvenuto, head of the stenography workshop of the Colón Opera House.

A surprise feature was the worldwide presentation of the recently restored ancient Greek statue done by the Calco Museum of the University of Carcova. And of course throughout the show visitors will be able to enjoy several live music shows lyrical, classical, tango, jazz, zarzuela, and several other styles too.

BA's greatest art, best prices, finest artists and shows; on ARTECLASICA. Already a classic, an all out classic hip hop event on our cultural agenda.

And ArteClassico is not alone, during this year we have the traditional Gallery Nights 2005, the now world famous BA Art and near the end of the year, don't forget Trastienda, all out art and one way for us here in Buenos Aires, to show our love for art.
