Hello,
I am trying to see if there's a way to tell what kind of service entrance equipment (single or 3 phase, voltage and amps) is going into a building just by looking at the setup from the outside. I'm not an electrician or engineer- I'm in construction estimating, and often times I only get pictures of it without any detail.
If I can I'll post a picture of what I mean in the thread after I post this.
Thanks!
@Curlwhurl,
Well it would appear I can't post images. If you want to see what I mean, I'd be happy to email you a copy of the picture. Or if anybody knows how to post a picture on this thread that would be great. Thanks!
@Curlwhurl,
you have to upload the images to a hosting site like imgur or tinypic.
once you have the urls, use IMG tags to format the images...

@Curlwhurl,
Tree phase has two big panel boxes outside, both locked. One has a big shiny pull lever on the side to turn power off.
If it is n
ot three phase it has a clear glass bulb in the center of a panel outside for the electric company to read numbers off.
If it is humming 3 phase, if it is the only bit of electrical equipment in sight not 3phase
@Curlwhurl,
Is it copper tin or just aluminum, if you have two metals together forget about the price you are way in over your head.
