Choice of Material and Color for Dinning Room

Hello everyone.

This is my very first post on these forums

I am a Landscape Designer and Agricultural Engineer, and I am currently Starting the interior of my own house.

I am having some sort of difficulty choosing the right material, texture and colors for a wall, column, and shelves that will be present in the room.

I hope some of you around here can help me.

The 3d images below will give you an idea of what I mean.

I have chosen Grey for this inclined column, plus the middle part of the wall that looks also inclined behind the dinning table, and I am contrasting it with brown shelves and cabinets.

However, in real world, I am not sure if Grey and Brown will look as pretty as I think they will.

I want the design to look catchy, beautiful and pleasant to look at; to give some Awe moment.









Another opinion I have is to combine two different materials together, like part wood for the shelves and cabinet, and maybe some metal for the wall cladding and the column

What do you think will work to make this design look its best.

I will appreciate any help you guys can give me.
