Paint and Primer

Hi everyone I'm at a dead end here and I don't know what to do. I am painting a nursery it's a white base with yellow glaze and I am using old rags to apply it. Everything looks good except the old color (earthy kind of green) is visible in some spots. I put 2 coats of primer on the walls, I have reprimed the dark spots but when I put the new paint on it won't take and when it does take you can see the primer right through the yellow and it looks horrible. Any suggestions?

Have you tried Kilz? It comes in a multitue of sizes, if it's not too big an area. Or if the spots are scattered you could blend in (rags/sponge) variations of the green and compliment what you have.
