Need Help/Advice with wiring/installing electric motor!

Hi, I'm new to the forum and know very little about all things electrical.

I recently bought a 1,4kW 230V electric motor that I now need to connect to a voltage regulator to control the motor speed, and also connect it to my 230V wall socket (live in Europe by the way).
Can anyone tell me how, and what cables/adapters I will need to do this?

Ps: Is it possible to attach images to this forum?
