I am worried about this - there's a hell of a lot of winter in Iceland....

Sure he's charming and eager to perform, but is this enough
I ask you? Can he fullfil the obligations that come with
such an important job?

He could certainly have a turn at it in our party, CJ. We'll rule by consensus, so he'd have a voice in all decisions. And then, in the winter when it's time for him to hibernate (or whenever he wasn't interested), the rest of us could pick up the slack.

The job's really too big for any one person, you know. It'll take a party to do the job right.

Laeknir - of course you should be on the ballot! Good for you for campaining for your self.

Læknir, according to Nimh in the election thread, you and I would make a good team. I was also left out of the primary, despite announcing my candidacy well in advance. I am also terribly laconic, as this will probably be my longest post in weeks... maybe months? And I also have some of those other things, but I'm too lazy to do any further checking.

So, this is my formal request that we run as a joint ticket or running mates or some kind of party or whatever those political minded people call these things. If you accept, you will no longer be an independent candidate in the sense of being alone and solitary, but we can still be an independent party in the sense of, again, however those political people define it. And being unified in our independence has some great symbolism, am I right?

Think it over, Læknir. Nimh thinks it would be a good idea. I'm pretty sure it would be. A bunch of other people might think so, too. And we want those people to vote for us, since getting votes is the way to win... at least according to those political types.

Why don't both of you guys join Love & Beauty? You'd fit in well. We plan to run A2K by "Benign Neglect". That's one of the major planks of our platform.

We figure the mods and admins are doing a great job for the most part...so why stop 'em? A2K doesn't need any more governance. It just needs more fun. And we're a fun-lovin' bunch, we are!!!

I've been left out of the ballot.

It seems that the one vote who favors traditional politics counted more than the 14 A2K citizens who supported my independent candidacy.

The preliminary results show clearly this is a scam run by the GKE clique.

This "elections" are ilegitimate!

I thank the members of the parties who offered me to join them. I wish you luck, but your candidacy is candid.

I wanted to proove the fraud. I did.

In protest I shall not post during the whole weekend.

I urge all supporters of democracy to follow suit... or to organize other civil resistance actions.

I wondered about this, too. This is an injustice of the lowest order.

It is simply incomprehensible how this could be allowed to happen!
