I've been left out of the primaries for the A2K Presidency.
This exclusion is obviously a plot coming from the traditional virtual politicians, who are not interested on serving the community, but only on power and petty fame.
They forget that true democracy comes from the people, not the sclerotic ever blabbing elites.
I shall fight against this injustice like a trout swimming up the stream. I appeal to my fellow A2Kers to vote in the poll on the top of this thread to put my name on the final ballot.
If I gather enough votes and I'm not given a spot on the ballot, I shall denounce the elections as illegitimate and call for civil resistance actions.
Vote for me, Læknir Scrat, and you'll get:
1. Freedom. A President who is often absent, so he will not interfere with your discussions, ranting, name calling, games, etc.
2. Peace. A non partisan President who only despises stupidity.
3. Spartan laconism. A President who seldom delivers long posts.
4. Experience. A President who comes from The Ice Age.
5. Ecumenism and site unity. Will fill my cabinet with beautiful witty women, handsome sports-loving men, wise sensible experts and at least a token conservative.
6. Good looks. The avatar speaks for itself.
7. A big save on costs. A President who cannot be deported to a faraway island, ?'cause he already lives there.

You would be a lovely addition to the sozobe/ farmerman/ nimh/ dlowan coalition, but if you want to stay independent, I'd still vote for ya.

Dag tried to add your name to Poll #4, but A2K locked it before she could. We may have to add nominees a thread at a time, like this. Doesn't matter. One way or another, you'll get there.
Funny, but when I read that your party will be filled with "beautiful witty women, handsome sports-loving men, wise sensible experts and at least a token conservative," I thought you were talking about us at Love & Beauty. That describes us to a "T." Our platforms have quite a bit in common. We would love to have you join us. Please give it your thoughtful consideration.

Scrat is not henpecked. Neither are Dys, Gautam, Kitchenpete, Tico, BVT or any of the other men in our party. They're intelligent, independent, men...every one of them. With great senses of humor. Not to mention that they're all nice looking, too. :wink: Everyone at Love & Beauty is a unique character, and we like it that way. It's more fun. And that's what we're all about...making A2K more entertaining.
If you and/or Scrat decide to join us, it will just make this site that much better. Be yourselves. And we will, too. We'll just do it together. What do you say?
